Scholé Every Day: How to Be a Thinking Mom

Available now! ↦

As a busy mom, it’s easy to think you don’t have time to read. What if you didn’t have time not to read? The time will quickly come when your children need you not to be the kisser-of-scraped-knees, but the counselor and sounding board. When that time comes, you need to have wisdom to share.

You need to be grounded in truth and unintimidated by contrary ideas. Your kids need you to grow with them. They need you to be comfortable exchanging ideas. We prepare now for the teen and grandma years by reading widely, thinking deeply, and applying faithfully.

  • UPDATED FOR 2025!

    MORE DETAILS HERE

    Your homeschool needs you,
not a new curriculum, program, or co-op

We made a place where homeschool moms can gather – no matter where we are or what time we’re available – to talk books, principles, practices, and methods with likeminded mamas. Sistership is all you wish Facebook was, but in a pretty, private, no-ad app that’s so much better.

    Scholé is leisure-learning,
    the opposite of stress.

Scholé Sisters is all about helping homeschool mamas in the trenches reclaim their own lives and their own learning alongside their children and alongside some friends so we can live full, engaged, happy lives at every stage.

    COMMUNITY

The seven liberal arts, the liberating arts, the arts of the free person, are necessary to classical education. One of those arts is dialectic, which depends upon conversation — real conversation, not the stuff of censorship and cancellation.

Batting around ideas is an indispensable part of education — of our education.

    ABOUT SCHOLé Sisters

We’re friends who believe that teaching is the art of being imitated and who desire to bring scholé into our homes. Each of us draws on the classical education tradition in different ways; our practices look different, but our commitment to the principles is the same.
